One strain of popular Wall Street wisdom says, "Sell in May and buy in November" if you want to realize most of the stock market gains and eliminate much of the risk. This adage may hold up statistically, but clients may not be willing to go to cash for half a year. Here is another way to take advantage of these kinds of seasonal effects.
